Wilkes Women's Swimming Battles to 92-83 win over Penn State-Altoona
ALTOONA, Pa. – The Wilkes University women's swim team snapped a four-meet slide with a hard-fought 92-83 victory at Penn State-Altoona Friday evening.
The Lady Colonels improved to 2-8 on the season.

The relay team of
Shannon Hogan (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty),
Kyleigh Smeltzer (Manchester, PA/Northeastern),
Cassie Morey (Chemung, NY/Waverly), and
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) finished first in the 400 medley relay with a time of 4:48.28. The team of
Mary Catherine Treuting (Warrenton, VA/Highland),
Wynter Gowarty (Scranton, PA/West Scranton),
Maura Clarke (Plains, PA/Coughlin), and
Elizabeth Dyminski (Fredon, NJ/Kittatinny) finished second in the 800 freestyle relay at 10:32.22.
Williams finished first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:59.54 and first in the 500 freestyle in 5:53.23.
Dyminski came in first at the 100 backstroke at 1:13.90 and second in the 200 freestyle at 2:23.06.
Morey finished first in the 50 freestyle at 27.52 and first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 1:01.73.
Hogan finished first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:17.75 and was the second-place finisher in the 200 IM at 2:28.70.
Wilkes returns to the pool on Saturday, January 14
th when it travels to Radnor, Pa. to take on Cabrini College and MAC-foe Widener at 1 p.m.
