SCRANTON, PA – The Wilkes University women's golf team opened its spring campaign going 1-1 in match play at a tri-match hosted by Marywood University at the Scranton Municipal Golf Course.
 
Wilkes fell 3-1 against the host Marywood before posting its first win of the season with a 4-0 victory over Arcadia University.
 
Elizabeth Reyes (Old Bridge, NJ/Old Bridge) scored the lone victory against Marywood with a 2 up win over Alexa Gerchman.
 
Wilkes then went four-for-four against Arcadia with wins from Christy Taylor (Carlstad, NJ/Lenape Valley) (6 and 5), Alexa Flood (Moscow, PA/North Pocono) (9 and 8), Kate Mahoney (Kingston, NH/Central Catholic) (9 and 8) and Reyes (5 and 4).
 
The Lady Colonels host Misericordia on Monday at Huntsville Golf Club at 1:00 p.m.
