The teams traded baskets over the first six minutes of the first quarter before Delaware Valley connected on back-to-back three-pointers to open up a 13-7 lead with 3:33 left in the frame. Two free throws from Gianna Roberts (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) followed by back-to-back baskets from Ashley Caster (York, PA/Spring Grove) put Wilkes ahead early in the second quarter leading 19-17 with 8:22 left in the half. The Aggies responded using the three-point shot to do its damage as Delaware Valley drilled three more long treys to take back the advantage up 36-30 at the break.
