Wilkes Men's Soccer Downed at Misericordia 3-1
DALLAS, Pa. – The Wilkes University men's soccer team traveled to nearby Misericordia University on Tuesday evening, where it fell by a 3-1 final in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Freedom action.
The Colonels are now 6-8-1 overall and 1-3-1 in MAC Freedom play.
Misericordia jumped out to a 2-0 lead with goals in the 15
th and 54
th minutes.
Wilkes cut the deficit to 2-1 when
Shane Henehan (Bensalem, PA/Mast Community Charter School) registered his first career goal in the 60
th minute off a corner kick from
Camry Huff (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro).
The Cougars added the final tally in the 62
nd minute.
Tim Gallagher (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) made four save in net for the Colonels.
Wilkes returns to action on Saturday when it will host Eastern for a MAC Freedom game at Schmidt Stadium starting at 2:00 p.m.
