Colonels Notebook
• The Colonels wrestle at the Mount Union Duals Saturday in Alliance, Ohio with matches against Waynesburg at 10:00 a.m., Mount Union at 12:00 p.m., Alma at 2:00 p.m., Baldwin Wallace at 4:00 p.m., and Greensboro at 6:00 p.m.
 
• Senior Matthew Grossmann (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township), sophomore Kyle Medrow (West Chester, PA/West Chester Henderson), and senior Nicholas Racanelli (West Creek, NJ/Southern Regional) are all ranked in their respective weight classes according to d3wrestle.com. Grossmann is ranked sixth in the 141-lbs weight class and is currently 4-0 on the season, including going 3-0 at the NY/PA Duals this past weekend. Medrow was named Honorable Mention at 149-lbs and sits at 2-2 for the year including 1-1 showing at the NY/PA Duals. Racanelli stands third at 165-lbs and also sports a 4-0 record so far this year after going 3-0 at the NY/PA Duals this weekend.
 
• Wilkes finished 1-2 at the NY/PA Duals with a 38-6 win against Hunter College after falling to No. 11 Cortland 23-20 and NYU 34-6.
 
• Wilkes finished in tenth place at the Ned McGinley Invitational to open the season two weeks ago as one Colonel earned a top-six finish. Freshman Kyle Trout (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) took home fifth place at 125-pounds in the tournament.
 
• The Colonels 2017-18 roster goes 39 deep with a class breakdown of: 4 seniors; 4 juniors; 15 sophomores; and 16 freshmen.
 
• The roster features athletes from nine states: Pennsylvania - 20; New Jersey - 8; New York - 3; Virginia - 2; California - 1; Connecticut - 2; Delaware - 1; Maryland - 1; Vermont – 1
