Wilkes Women's Swimming Finishes First Day at Diamond City Invitational
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's swim team finished the first day of the Diamond City Invitational at the Wyoming Valley CYC hosted by King's College on
Saturday.

The Lady Colonels stand ninth out of 12 teams after the first two sessions.
In session one, the relay team of
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton),
Kyleigh Smeltzer (Manchester, PA/Northeastern),
Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover), and
Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove) finished seventh in the 200 freestyle relay, finishing in 1:48.48. The team of Keating, Smeltzer, Aspey, and Williams came in 400 medley relay at 4:32.91. In session two, the team of Keating, Smeltzer, Aspey, and Williams were eighth in the 200 medley relay at 2:01.77.
Keating set two new program records during the first day, finishing fourth in the 400 IM with a time of 4:58.66 and seventh in the 200 IM finishing in 2:19.20.
Williams also broke two program records, finishing ninth in the 500 freestyle at 5:33.16 and 11
th in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:05.05.
Wilkes returns to action for the final session tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m.
