Wilkes Men's Volleyball Drops Midweek Matchup at Wilson 3-1
CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. – The Wilkes University men's volleyball team dropped its matchup at Wilson College on Wednesday evening by a 3-1 (23-25, 26-24, 21-25, 19-25) margin.
The Colonels are now 5-5 on the season.
Wilkes' offense was led by sophomore
John Pietrzyk (Glen Lyon, Pa./Nanticoke), who finished with 13 kills. Senior
Dylan Smith (York, Pa./Dallastown) added nine kills while senior
Mike Morrison (Dallas, Pa./Holy Redeemer) contributed six. Junior
Daniel Sales (Laflin, Pa./James M. Coughlin) finished with 20 assists.
Sophomore
Kyle Price (Mountaintop, Pa./Crestwood) led the back line with 17 kills while while Smith finished with 14 and Sales added 10. Morrison led the front line of defense with three blocks while Smith and Pietryzk finished with two each.
The Colonels return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Alvernia for an 8:00 p.m. matchup.
