Colonels Notebook
• Wilkes posted a dominating 33-14 victory at Elizabethtown on Tuesday moving its overall mark to 18-5, the tenth straight season of 15 or more wins under head coach Jon Laudenslager.
 
• Wilkes bested TCNJ on senior night 27-16 before falling to No. 4 Ithaca 34-12 snapping a seven-match winning streak.
 
• The Colonels have went a perfect 6-0 in home quads posting wins over Oneonta (22-18), Keystone (55-0), W&J (42-8), Scranton (26-12), RIT (26-22) and West Virginia Tech (34-9).
 
• Wilkes finished second overall at the MAC Championships with eight Colonels earning medals including one champion.
 
• Wilkes went 3-1 at the North South Duals including wins over Shippensburg (24-21), Camden County (24-21) and MAC rival Delaware Valley (25-13).
 
• The Colonels took home third place at the Messiah Petrofes behind Matthew Grossmann (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township)'s title at 141-pounds. Nine different Wilkes wrestlers finished in the top-seven at the event.
• Wilkes made its second consecutive appearance in the Grapple at the Garden event going 1-1 with a 32-15 win over Merchant Marine.
 
• The Colonels pushed their win streak earlier in the year to six matches going 3-0 at the Muhlenberg Quad. Wilkes recorded wins over Southern Virginia (52-6), Temple Wrestling Club (41-12) and Muhlenberg (32-12)
 
• Wilkes finished 3-1 at the NY/PA Duals with wins against Hunter College (42-6), Nassau CC (40-6) and College of Mount Saint Vincent (44-6).
 
• Wilkes finished in third place at the Monarch Invitational as two Colonels earned individual championships. Jessie Lopez (Everett, WA/Everett) won the 141-pound title going 5-0 while Josh Evans (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton) finished 5-0 with a title at 149-pounds. In total, six Colonels claimed top-six finishes.
 
• Wilkes features two ranked wrestlers in the latest NWCA individual rankings. Guesseppe Rea (Stroudsburg, PA/Stroudsburg) is ranked second at 125-pounds while Grossmann is tabbed second at 141-pounds.
 
• Sixteen Colonels have totaled 10 or more wins this season including seven wrestlers with 15 or more victories.
