Wilkes Swimming Completes Day One of MAC Championships
YORK, Pa. – The Wiles University men's and women's swim teams completed the first night of the 2017 Middle Atlantic Conference swimming championships at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa.
After two events each, the women have 28 points while the men have 26.

For the women, in the 200 medley relay, the team of sophomore
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton), freshman
Shannon Hogan (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty), sophomore
Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover), and senior
Cassie Morey (Chemung, NY/Waverly) finished 10
th with a time of 1:59.77.
In the women's 800 freestyle relay, the team of Williams, sophomore
Wynter Gowarty (Scranton, PA/West Scranton), freshman
Kyleigh Smeltzer (Manchester, PA/Northeastern), and Aspey finished 10
th with a time of 9:22.12. In her leg of the race, Williams set a new record in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:05.91.
In the men's 200 medley relay, the team of senior
Dominic Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy), freshman
Nick Walker (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth Area), freshman
Tyler Weatherby (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester County Institutional Technology), and senior
Jacob Parfianowicz (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) finished 10
th with a time of 1:44.24, a new program record.
In the men's 800 freestyle relay, the team of senior
Matthew Nevers (Jackson, NJ/Jackson Memorial), freshman
Thomas Burner (North Babylon, NY/North Babylon), junior
Thurman Fogleman (York, PA/William Penn), and freshman
Sean Connelly (Ashley, PA/Hanover Area) finished 11
th with a time of 8:29.16.
The MAC championships continue tomorrow morning, with the first session starting at 10:00 a.m.
