EDWARDSVILLE – Junior Megan Kane (Kingston, PA/Wyoming Valley West) and freshman Ali Dunn (Pittston, PA/Pittston) each recorded two goals to lead the Wilkes University field hockey team to a rollercoaster 4-3 win over Moravian College at Schmidt Stadium on Tuesday evening.

The Lady Colonels improved to 3-4 on the season.

The Greyhounds jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute.

Wilkes evened the score in the 15th minute when Kane scored unassisted after putting in a rebound from a shot by junior Haley Gayoski (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West).

Dunn gave Wilkes its first lead in the 18th minute unassisted before Moravian tied the score in the 20th minute.

Dunn notched another goal in the 28th minute when the ball was played in from outside the circle before Dunn made a move around a defender and put the ball past the goalkeeper.

The Greyhounds once again tied the game in the 44th minute before Kane put home the game winner after senior Marissa Surdy (Mountaintop, PA/Crestwood)'s shot was saved, with Gayoski picking up the rebound and passing to Kane who had a wide open net.
