Wilkes Women's Swimming Competes at Misericordia
DALLAS, Pa. – The Wilkes University women's swimming team was back in action after more than a month break and competed at Misericordia University Saturday afternoon in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) meet. The Lady Colonels fell by a team score of 199-48.

Kyleigh Smeltzer (Manchester, PA/Northeastern) finished second in two individual events. She finished the 50 Breaststroke in 35.27 and the 100 Breaststroke in 1:20.55.
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) placed second in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:53.92 and also finished third in the 200 Freestyle in 2:11.14.
Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover) swam the 100 Butterfly in 1:09.55 to take second place and also finished third in the 50 Butterfly with a time of 31.00.
Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove) came away with a third place finish in the 100 Backstroke with her time of 1:07.53.
Julia Rostron (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) was the third place finisher in the 50 Freestyle race finishing in 29.29.
The team of Keating, Smeltzer, Aspey, and Williams finished the 200 Medley Relay in 2:04.30 and in second place. Williams, Rostron, Aspey, and Keating placed second in the
400 Freestyle Relay with a time of 4:10.38.
The Lady Colonels are now 0-9 overall and 0-6 against MAC competition while Misericordia is 4-5 overall and 4-2 against MAC teams.
Wilkes returns to the pool next Saturday when it travels to Messiah College in Grantham, Pa. for a 1:00 p.m. MAC meet.
