Wilkes Men's Swimming Downed at Messiah
GRANTHAM, Pa. – The Wilkes University men's swim team hit the road for Messiah College this afternoon where it was defeated by a 125-65 final score.

The Colonels are now 5-6 overall and 3-4 in Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) meets.
The relay team of
Nick Martino (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin),
Tyler Weatherby (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester County Institutional Technology),
Justin Burda (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic), and
Jared Byrne (Pequea, PA/Penn Manor) finished first in the 200 freestyle relay with a time of 1:33.52. The team of Byrne,
Anthony Stampone (Kent Island, MD/Kent Island), Burda, and Martino came in second in the 44 medley relay, finishing in 3:55.06.
Tyler Weatherby (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester County Institutional Technology) set a new program best in the 400 IM with a time of 4:58.18.
Stampone won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.86.
Cameron Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover) came in second in the 50 freestyle at 25.05.
Jacob Wessner (Auburn, PA/Blue Mountain) finished second in the 100 backstroke in 1:01.18.
Byrne was the third place finisher in the 100 butterfly with a time of 58.32.
Burda came in third in the 100 freestyle, finishing in 53.69.
Thurman Fogleman (York, PA/William Penn) placed second in the 100 breaststroke at 1:14.31.
Wilkes returns to the pool on Saturday when it will host SUNY Delhi and SUNY Cobleskill for a 1:00 p.m. double-dual meet at the Wyoming Valley CYC starting at 1:00 p.m.
