• Wilkes wrestles W&J, RIT and Oneonta in the John Reese Duals Sunday at the Marts Center. Keystone and Lackawanna will also be featured at the event.

Jake Dimarsico (Thiells, NY/North Rockland) led six Colonels who earned All-Conference honors taking home the 133-pound title at the 2018 MAC Championships. Other Wilkes finishers included
Kyle Trout (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) (2nd at 125),
Matthew Grossmann (Lancaster, PA/Manheim Township) (2nd at 141),
Josh Evans (Palmerton, PA/Palmerton) (2nd at 149),
Ashton Gyenizs (Madison, CT/Daniel Hand) (2nd at 165) and
Dylan O'Connor (Somerset, NJ/Bishop George Ahr) (3rd at 133).
• Wilkes snapped a five-match losing skid picking up a pair of home dual wins beating Penn College 43-9 and Lackawanna 41-10 two weeks ago.
• Wilkes went 0-3 at the prestigious NWCA National Duals falling to No. 14 North Central (32-6), University of Chicago (24-17) and Ohio Northern (24-18).
• Evans was the lone place-winner at the 85th annual Wilkes Open taking home fourth place at 149-pounds at the event.
• The Colonels earned a hard-fought 24-19 victory over Elizabethtown using two falls from sophomore
Kyle Medrow (West Chester, PA/West Chester Henderson) and junior
John Ritter (Bethlehem, PA/Liberty) to secure the win.
• Wilkes fell in both of its matches at the Grapple at the Garden losing 29-16 against No. 10 Stevens before a 38-3 defeat against LIU Post.
• Wilkes swept two matches at the McDaniel Duals posting a 35-9 victory over Southern Virginia before beating host McDaniel 25-12.
• The Colonels went 2-3 at the Mount Union Duals with wins over Alma 34-8 and Greensboro 31-13.
• Wilkes finished 1-2 at the NY/PA Duals with a 38-6 win against Hunter College after falling to No. 11 Cortland 23-20 and NYU 34-6.
• Wilkes finished in tenth place at the Ned McGinley Invitational to open the season as one Colonel earned a top-six finish. Freshman
Kyle Trout (Mount Laurel, NJ/Lenape) took home fifth place at 125-pounds in the tournament.
• Wilkes features one wrestler honored in the latest d3wrestle.com Individual rankings. Grossmann is tabbed a contender at 141-pounds standing 13-4 on the season.
