Wilkes Men's Swimming Wins Eight Events Against SUNY Delhi and Suny Cobleskill
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University men's swim team won eight events en route to defeating SUNY Delhi 155-37 and SUNY Cobleskill 135-86 at the Wyoming Valley CYC on Saturday afternoon on senior day.
The Colonels improved to 7-6 overall this season.

Daniel Mack (Hanover, PA/New Oxford),
Tyler Weatherby (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester County Institutional Technology),
Cameron Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover), and
Jared Byrne (Pequea, PA/Penn Manor) finished first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:50.15.
Mike Pettit (Montrose, PA/Montrose Area Jr/Sr) finished first in the 1000 freestyle with a time of 11:39.19 and first in the 500 freestyle at 5:38.77.
Chase Osborne (Lords Valley, PA/Wallenpaupack) came in first in the 50 backstroke in 29.41 and third in the 500 freestyle at 6:24.64.
Byrne won the 50 breaststroke in 29.73 and the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.23.
Anthony Stampone (Kent Island, MD/Kent Island) finished first in the 100 butterfly at 59.66.
Weatherby came in first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.02 and finished third in the 50 freestyle at 24.36.
Christopher Daley (Bethlehem, PA/Allentown Central Catholic) finished second in the 1000 freestyle in 11:39.60 and third in the 100 freestyle at 58.88.
Nick Martino (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) was second in the 200 freestyle at 1:58.50 and second in the 100 backstroke in 1:05.78.
Mack finished second in the 50 breaststroke with a time of 30.01.
Thurman Fogleman (York, PA/William Penn), who was honored pre-meet as the lone graduating Colonel, finished second in the 50 breaststroke at 33.91 and third at 1:12.71 in the 100 breaststroke.
Aspey came in second in the 100 butterfly at 1:02.21 and second in the 100 breaststroke in 1:10.97.
The Colonels return to the pool on Saturday when they host King's starting at 1:00 p.m. at the CYC.
