WHITE HAVEN, PA – The Wilkes University women's golf team finished sixth of 10 teams at the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Fall Preview at the Mountain Laurel Golf Club Sunday.

The four Wilkes participants combined to shoot 431 as 42 golfers from 10 teams competed at the event. Sarah Sorber (Hunlock Creek, PA/Northwest Area) placed 15^th as the freshman carded a 95 on the day.

Gwen MacConnell (Great Bend, PA/Blue Ridge) shot a 107 to tie for 22^nd, Hannah Welfley (Mifflintown, PA/Juniata) carded a 113 to tie for 29^th and Cassidy Taylor (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) placed 32^nd with a 116.

Alvernia shot a 343 to take home the team title and Nicole Krause of Manhattanville carded the lowest round with an 82.

The Colonels return to the course to close out the fall portion of the schedule on Thursday when they face the University of Scranton at the Huntsville Golf Club at 2:00 p.m.
