Late Goals Sink Wilkes Men's Soccer in ECAC First Round
MADISON, N.J. – With goals in the 82nd, 87th, and 88th minutes, Grove City College defeated the Wilkes University men's soccer team in the first round of the ECAC Division III Tournament.
The Colonels end the season with an 8-9-1 overall record.
Grove City came within inches of taking the lead in the 23rd minute when a shot hit the crossbar, but the first 45 ended in a 0-0 tie.
The score remained blank on both sides until the Wolverines registered their three goals to seal the contest.
Tim Gallagher (Easton, PA/Notre Dame Green Pond) made eight saves in the cage for Wilkes.
