Wilkes Women's Swimming Falls to Lycoming 122-65
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's swimming team dropped a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) meet to Lycoming College on Saturday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley CYC.

The loss knocks the Colonels to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the MAC.
Wilkes captured three victories on the day as Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton), Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover) and Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove) all walked away with first-place finishes.
First was Williams, who cruised to a win in the 1000 Freestyle by finishing in 11:49.76 to win by over 40 seconds.
Aspey followed that by taking the 200 Butterfly in 2:33.52 to win by a comfortable eight seconds.
Keating had the Colonels third win as she captured the 200 Backstroke in 2:27.41 to defeat a Warrior swimmer by eight seconds. Keating also took second-place in the 200 Freestyle.
Other strong finishes for Wilkes included Jessica Turnitza (Cumbola, PA/Pottsville) and Kyleigh Smeltzer (York, PA/Northeastern) finishing second and third respectively in the 50 Freestyle.
Turnitza would add another second-place finish in the 500 Freestyle with Julia Rostron (Harleysville, PA/Souderton) capturing third-place in that event.
The Colonels are back in action on Saturday, December 8th when they host Arcadia at the Wyoming CYC at 1:00 p.m.
