OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Wilkes University men's volleyball team competed in its inaugural Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) match Saturday afternoon at Stevenson University, falling in straight sets (25-12, 25-14, 25-14).

Wilkes is now 2-6 overall and 0-1 in the MAC while Stevenson moved to 3-4 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

The Mustangs opened the first set with the first six points before Dylan Smith (York, Pa./Dallastown) and Daniel Sales (Laflin, Pa./James M. Coughlin) recorded consecutive kills. The Colonels never could string together more than two points in a row as Stevenson pulled away to a 25-12 victory.

The Colonels recorded their only three-point run of the match in the second set with a kill from Jones Mensah (Philadelphia, Pa./Central) and two Stevenson errors but the Mustangs won the set 25-14.
