Wilkes Women's Swimming Drops Season's Final Dual Meet to King's
WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's swimming team hosted King's College in its final dual meet of the season Saturday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley CYC. The Lady Colonels had a trio of swimmers and a relay place second while the Lady Monarchs left with the 155-37 team score victory.

The 200 Medley Relay team of
Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove),
Kyleigh Smeltzer (Manchester, PA/Northeastern),
Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover), and
Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) finished second with a time of 2:01.71.
Keating also placed second in two individual events as she finished the 200 IM in 2:26.89 and the 100 Backstroke in 1:08.41.
Aspey was second in the 100 Butterfly with a time of 1:08.65.
Julia Rostron (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) swam to a second place finish in 1:18.42 in the 100 Breaststroke and in the same event Smeltzer finished third in 1:19.28.
Williams had a pair of third place finishes. First in the 200 Freestyle she finished in 2:12.29 and then in the 100 Freestyle she came in at 1:03.09.
The Lady Colonels are 2-11 overall and 0-8 in Middle Atlantic Conference meets. King's improved to 7-4 overall and to 5-3 in conference meets.
Wilkes returns to the pool for competition in the Middle Atlantic Conference Championships at the Graham Aquatics Center in York, Pa. from February 15-18.
