Wilkes Men's Swimming Finishes 4th at Diamond City Invitational
WILKES-BARRE, PA – – On Sunday the Wilkes University men's swimming team wrapped up a successful weekend in the pool by placing fourth of 11 teams at the conclusion of the two-day 2019 Diamond City Invitational hosted by King's College at the Wyoming Valley CYC. The fourth place finish is the second-best by the program over the past six seasons of competition at the yearly event.

Wilkes concluded the 18-event invitational with 873.5 team points. Albright College placed first with 1,217.5 points.
Session three on Sunday consisted of the 200 Backstroke, 100 Freestyle, 200 Breaststroke, 200 Butterfly, 400 Freestyle Relay, and 1650 Freestyle.
Timothy Sechler-Stone (Allentown, PA/Salisbury) placed fourth of 17 swimmers in the 200 Backstroke to start the day with 26 team points for Wilkes. He came to the wall in 2:06.83.
Joseph Antolick (Ringtown, PA/North Schuylkill) placed sixth of 51 swimmers in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 50.03 to earn 24 points.
Nick Martino (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) was not far behind as he finished in a tie for ninth with a 51.28 to earn 18.5 points.
Trey Harloff (Apex, NC/Apex Friendship) earned 25 points with a fifth place finish in the 200 Butterfly with a time of 2:10.88. There were 16 total swimmers in the event.
The 400 Freestyle Relay team of Antolick,
Justin Burda (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic), Martino, and Harloff finished fifth of 16 teams with a 3:24.80 to earn 50 points.
The Colonels return to the pool on Saturday, December 7 when they travel to Williamsport, Pa. to face Lycoming College in a dual meet at 1:00 p.m. The Warriors placed eighth at the Diamond City Invitational.
