MILTON, NY – Three runners from the Wilkes University women's cross country team competed at the 2019 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Cross Country Championship Saturday at the Hudson Valley Sports Dome hosted by Mount Saint Mary College (NY).

Jill Weston (South Canaan, PA/Western Wayne) paced the Colonels as the senior placed 45th out of 78 runners with a time of 30:46.2 on the 6k course. Arianna Ryan (Brockton, PA/Tamaqua) finished 53rd with a time of 31:44.6 and Alexa Boersma (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) placed 62nd at 33:22.8.

Wilkes was not eligible for a team score with only three runners. St. Joseph's – Long Island was the team champion at the event out of nine eligible teams.

The Colonels return to the course to compete at the NCAA Mideast Regional next Saturday with the race starting at 11:00 a.m. in Bethlehem, Pa. hosted by Lehigh University.
