Wilkes trailed 89-85 heading into the final race, the 200 Free Relay. A victory would give the Colonels the meet win and they did just that when the team of Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove Area), Tricia Bartosh (Whitehall, PA/Whitehall), Jessica Turnitza (Cumbola, PA/Pottsville Area), and Alexa Crossgrove (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) swam a 1:51.28 to earn the 11 points. Lycoming's team swam a 2:02.51 but were also disqualified.

Crossgrove won two individual events for Wilkes as well. She took first in the 1000 Freestyle to earn nine points with a time of 11:32.99. She also won the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:45.29.

Keating also had two individual wins. The junior won the 200 IM with a time of 2:25.32 and the 100 Butterfly as she finished in 1:07.49.

Maddy Kinard (Dover, PA/Dover Area) also provided Wilkes with nine points as the freshman won the 100 Backstroke race with a time of 1:06.69.

The Colonels return to the pool on Saturday, January 12 at 1:00 p.m. when they host Misericordia University at the Wyoming Valley CYC.
