Wilkes Men's Swimming Defeats Lycoming with Seven Victories
WILLIAMSPORT, PA – In the final dual meet of the 2019 calendar year the Wilkes University men's swimming team defeated host Lycoming College by a 124-71 score after claiming victory in seven of the 12 events.
The win improves Wilkes to 5-2 overall this season and to 2-1 against Middle Atlantic Conference opponents.

The Colonels opened the competition with a victory in the 400 Medley Relay. The team of
Timothy Sechler-Stone (Allentown, PA/Salisbury),
Trey Harloff (Apex, NC/Apex Friendship),
Justin Burda (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic), and
Nick Martino (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) finished with a time of 3:52.24 to claim 11 points.
Joseph Antolick (Ringtown, PA/North Schuylkill) captured the Colonels second and fifth victories to earn nine points in the individual events. First he won the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:54.01 and then he took first in the 100 Freestyle with a time of 50.71.
Martino claimed victory in the 50 Freestyle coming to the wall in 24.12.
Burda won the 100 Butterfly race with a time of 56.62.
Sechler-Stone closed out the individual wins for Wilkes with the top step performance in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:06.79.
Wilkes closed out the meet with a victory in the 200 Freestyle Relay as the team of Antolick, Burda,
Shane Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), and Martino finished in 1:35.33.
The Colonels are now off until the New Year when they return to the pool to host Misericordia University at the Wyoming Valley CYC on January 12th at 1:00 p.m.
