Wilkes Women's Swimming: MAC Championships Day 2
York, PA – The Wilkes University women's swim team returned to the pool for day two of the 2019 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships at the Graham Aquatic Center on Friday.

The day began with preliminary rounds in the morning where Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove) qualified in ninth and beat her own program record in the 200 IM by finishing in 2:15.61 to earn a spot in the eight swimmer B final in the evening session.
That record wouldn't stand for long as Keating won the B final with a time of 2:13.63 to finish in ninth overall in the 200 IM while resetting the program record.
The sophomore was not done for the day as she led off the 200 Freestyle Relay final by breaking the 50 Freestyle record with a time of 25.57. Other members of the relay team were Morgan Williams (Scranton, PA/West Scranton), Allie Aspey (Dover, PA/Dover) and Jessica Turnitza (Cumbola, PA/Pottsville) who combined to finish in a tie for 10th with a time of 1:45.59 to earn the navy and gold 13 points.
Wilkes currently sits in ninth place out of 12 teams after the second day of competition. The Colonels will get back in the water tomorrow, Saturday, February 16th, at 10:00 a.m. for more preliminary rounds before finals continue at 6:00 p.m.
