MOOSIC, PA – Corey Cowitch (Northampton, PA/Northampton Area) fired in a 5-over 77 to lead the Wilkes University men's golf team on day one of the 2019 Glenmaura Invitational co-hosted by the University of Scranton and King's College at the Glenmaura National Golf Club on Sunday.

Cowitch finished tied for third after shooting his season-low 77 on the par 71 course. He led two other Colonels who finished round one at the event as Teddy Marines (Harrisburg, PA/Bermudian Springs) carded a season-low 96 for 27^th place and Ed Lukowski (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) a 132 for 32^nd place. Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) and Austin Paisley (Sugarloaf, PA/Marian Catholic) did not finish round one for Wilkes.
 
Muhlenberg teammates Ellis Focht and Ben Liebeman topped all scorers in round one play each carding 75 on the day.
 
Final round play on Monday was cancelled due to the bad weather across the northeast region.
