Wilkes Women's Golf Splits Tri-Match with Scranton and Keystone
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University women's golf team split a pair of match against the University of Scranton and Keystone College in a home tri-match Thursday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club. Scranton posted a 3.5-1.5 win over the Colonels before Wilkes won 2-0 over Keystone.
In the match against Scranton,
Sarah Sorber (Hunlock Creek, PA/Northwest Area) was a 3&2 winner over Brianna Stein.
Cassidy Taylor (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) and Maura McDonough played all square for Wilkes' other half point.
Julia Kobusky (Kingston, PA/Wyoming Valley West) and
Gwen MacConnell (Great Bend, PA/Blue Ridge) posted the two wins over Keystone with both winning at 1-up.
Wilkes will conclude the season at the 2019 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships next Saturday and Sunday at Mountain Laurel Golf Club.
