Wilkes Women's Cross Country Finishes Third at Queensborough Invitational
BAYSIDE, N.Y. – The Wilkes University women's cross country team finished third at the 2019 Queensborough Invitational hosted by Quesnborough County College on Sunday morning. It is the teams second third place finish in two races this season.

Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) finished with the top time for the Colonels, completing the 5k in 22:54 for a ninth place finish in her first collegiate 5k.
Caroline Rickard (Orwigsburg, PA/Blue Mountain) crossed the line in 23:09 for a 13th place finish, while Autumn Pedron (Pottsville, PA/Minersville) (23:26, 17th place) and Sara Ross (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) (23:50, 19th) joined Hensil in the top 20.
Mia Walker (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) (24:35, 23rd), Kaitlin Sutton (Shavertown, PA/Lake Lehman) (24:40, 24th), Sydney Rochette (Colchester, CT/Academy of Aerospace and Engineering) (24:51, 27th), Jill Weston (South Canaan, PA/Western Wayne) (26:25, 43rd), Arianna Ryan (Brockton, PA/Tamaqua) (26:44, 45th), and Alexa Boersma (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) (28:00, 49th) rounded out the finishers for Wilkes, as every runner finished in the top-50 of the 110-participant race.
The Colonels return to action on Friday when they travel to Elizabethtown College for the Elizabethtown College Short Course Invite starting at 6:30 p.m.
