MOOSIC, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished third at a tri-match hosted by the University of Scranton with Penn State Hazleton on Thursday afternoon at the Glenmaura National Golf Club.
 
Wilkes finished with a team score of 417 while Penn State Hazleton finished second at 353 and Scranton first with a team score of 316.
 
Michael Sherrick (Shickshinny, PA/Northwest Area) led all Wilkes finishers carding an 84 on the Par 71 course. Jay Gallagher (Reading, MA/Kents Hill School) followed shooting a 104 while Paul Cimilluca (Colonia, NJ/Saint Joseph) (109) and Devon Schell (Scarsdale, NY/Scarsdale) (120) rounded out the Colonel participants.
 
Thomas McAuliffe topped all scorers on the afternoon posting a four-over 75.
 
Wilkes returns to the course October 4^th when the Colonels host cross-town rival King's College at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville Golf Club.
