WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University Colonels hosted the Misericordia Cougars for a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) meet Sunday morning at the Wyoming Valley CYC.
 
The Colonels fell to the Cougars in a 149-50 affair where they claimed one victory and earned another finish that qualified for the MAC Championships.  The Colonels dropped to 3-5 overall and 1-3 against conference foes.
 
Sophomore Alexa Crossgrove (Harleysville, PA/Souderton Area) earned the gold medal in the 1000 Free with a time of 11:39.54 in the second event of the day for the women.  She later posted a conference championship qualifying time in the 100 Free with a 59.94, good for a silver medal.
 
The Colonels look to bounce back from this setback on January 25th as they host league foe FDU-Florham at the Wyoming Valley CYC at 1:00 p.m.  The Colonel women are 3-1 against the Devils since the program was reintroduced in the 14-15 season.
