Sechler-Stone's Three Wins Help Wilkes Men's Swimming Defeat FDU-Florham 159-82
WILKES-BARRE –
Timothy Sechler-Stone (Allentown, PA/Salisbury) won three individual events as the Wilkes University men's swimming team took first in 10 of 14 events to earn a 159-82 dual-meet victory over visiting FDU-Florham at the Wyoming Valley CYC Saturday afternoon.

Wilkes improved to 6-2 overall on the season and to 3-1 against Middle Atlantic Conference opponents.
The meet started with the Colonels taking 15 of the possible 17 points in the 200 Medley Relay with a first and second place finish. The team of
Joseph Antolick (Ringtown, PA/North Schuylkill),
Tyler Weatherby (Sewell, NJ/Gloucester County Institute of Technology),
Justin Burda (Allentown, PA/Allentown Central Catholic), and
Nick Martino (Hummelstown, PA/Lower Dauphin) combined for a 1:46.30 to narrowly edge their teammates and collect the first-place 11 points.
Jacob Wessner (Auburn, PA/Blue Mountain), Sechler-Stone,
Shane Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta), and
Keith Nissen (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) were just 0.12 seconds behind with a 1:46.42 for the second-place four points.
Sechler-Stone won the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:05.44, the 200 Backstroke with a 2:11.92, and the 200 IM with a time of 2:12.23 to earn nine points in each events for his team.
Antolick took two individual race wins with a 1:53.69 in the 200 Freestyle and a 51.30 in the 100 Freestyle.
Martino won the 100 Backstroke with a 1:02.18 and Burda came to the wall first in the 100 Butterfly with a 55:06. Nissen won the 50 Freestyle sprint as he sped to a 23.96 time.
The Colonels closed the meet by taking first and second in the 200 Freestyle Relay. Antolick, Burda,
Trey Harloff (Apex, NC/Apex Friendship), and Martino won with a 1:33.69. Finishing second were Miller, Weatherby, Wessner, and
Christian Mavus (Nanticoke, PA/Greater Nanticoke) with a 1:36.71.
Wilkes hosts King's in the final dual-meet of the season on Saturday, February 1 at the Wyoming Valley CYC at 1:00 p.m.
