Wilkes Women's Cross Country Places Eighth at LVC Last Chance Run
LEBANON, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team used two personal records and two season's best times to place eighth of 10 teams on Friday evening at the LVC Last Chance Run Fast at Union Canal Tunnel Park.

The team scored 198 points among its five runners for the eighth-place result in the 6k event.
First year
Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) placed 28th overall in the field that held 74 total runners. She set a personal record with a time of 27:45.5. First year
Amy Agreda (Shelton, CT/Shelton) was 33rd with a time of 28:27.0. Sophomore
Alexa Boersma (Clarks Summit, PA/Abington Heights) placed 48th with a season-best time of 30:10.6 and junior
Arianna Ryan (Brockton, PA/Tamaqua) also set a season-best time of 30:45.9 to place 52nd. First year
Naomi Michel (Macungie, PA/Emmaus) rounded out the Colonels contingent as she recorded a personal record time of 36:01.9 to place 68th.
Mount St. Mary's took the team title with 41 points while Zoe Tomko of King's placed first overall with a time of 23:17.4.
Wilkes returns to the course next week on Saturday, October 30 for the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships in Center Valley, Pa. hosted by DeSales at 11:00 a.m.
