MADISON, NJ – The Wilkes University women's swimming team opened its 2021-2022 season with a 146-35 loss at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Campus on Saturday afternoon.

In the 200 Medley Relay the team of Maddy Kinard (Dover, PA/Dover Area), Emilie Detweiler (Muncy, PA/Hughesville), Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove Area), and Kara Foster (Brookville, PA/Brookville Jr. Sr.) finished with a time of 2:11.29 as the hosts won the season-opening race at 1:59.00.

Keating placed second in the 200 Freestyle with a 2:19.62 and was second in the 100 Butterfly with a finishing time of 1:14.67.

Detweiler was second in the 50 Freestyle with a 31.79 and was second in the 100 Breaststroke with a 1:25.24.

Kinard took runner-up in the 200 IM with a time of 2:33.45 and was second in the 100 Backstroke with a 1:10.39.

Foster was second in the 100 Freestyle with a finish of 1:12.05.

The Colonels return to the pool next Saturday at Marywood University.
