Wilkes Women's Cross Country Closes Season in 22nd at NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional
NEWVILLE, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team placed 22nd of 31 teams at the 2021 NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional on Saturday at Big Spring High School to close its season.

The Colonels scored 636 team points among its five scoring runners. There were 218 total runners at the Mid-Atlantic Regional hosted by Dickinson College.
Regan Metz (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) set a personal best mark of 26:50.7 at the 6k distance to place 111th overall.
Alyse Fay (Verona, PA/Oakland Catholic) followed in 117th with a time of 26:58.0.
Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) placed 119th with a finishing time of 27:00.2. Finishing in 28:15.9 was
Sara Ross (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) as she was 152nd.
Mia Walker (Matawan, NJ/Matawan Regional) rounded out the scorers for Wilkes with a 28:38.2 to place 159th.
Sydney Rochette (Colchester, CT/Academy of Aerospace and Engineering) (163rd, 28:55.8) and
Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) (169th, 29:10.9) rounded out the Colonel participants.
John Hopkins earned the NCAA Championship Automatic Bid by placing first overall with a team score of 20 points. Isabel Cardi of Dickinson was the individual champion as she placed first with a time of 22:13.0.
