Colonels Notebook
• Wilkes University wrestling will host Elizabethtown College in a dual match at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday inside the Marts Center.
• Last week the Colonels hosted their first dual match of the season, falling 31-3 to TCNJ on Friday night. Wilkes then sent 23 grapplers to the Racich Rumble Tournament hosted by Ursinus College on Saturday and placed tenth of 14 teams with two top-6 finishers.

Collin Rolak (Forked River, NJ/Lacey Township) began his Colonels career 5-0 as he won the 141-pound title.
Austin Cominsky (Cape May Courthouse, NJ/Middle Township) placed sixth at 197 with a 5-1 official record on the day.

Austin Fashouer (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) picked up the three points for Wilkes against TCNJ as he won a 10-4 decision at 125-pounds over Nick DeNora.
• Wilkes opened its season November 6th placing third of 15 teams at the Ned McGinley Invitational hosted by King's.
Colton Babcock (Sweet Valley, PA/Northwest Area) went 4-0 in taking the 184 pound title while four others placed in the top four for the Colonels. Fashouer was runner-up at 125 as was
Cameron Butka (Scranton, PA/West Scranton) at 197.
James Geiger (Dallas, PA/Dallas) took third place at 165 and
Charles Everdale (Freeland, PA/Hazleton Area) placed fourth at 157.
• Three Colonels earned National Wrestling Coaches Association Division III Preseason Regional Rankings.
Kyle Tino (Phillipsburg, NJ/Phillipsburg) was ranked third in the Southeast Regional at 149,
John Devito (Long Valley, NJ/West Morris Central) was third at 174, and
Jack Bauer (Ringoes, NJ/Hunterdon Central) was fourth at 133.
• The Colonels 2021-2022 roster goes 45 deep with a class breakdown of: 9 seniors; 11 juniors; 11 sophomores; and 14 first-years.
• The roster features athletes from seven states and one province: Pennsylvania – 20; New Jersey – 15; New York – 3; Maryland – 2; Virginia – 2; Maine – 1; Texas – 1; Alberta – 1
Scouting Elizabethtown
• Elizabethtown has a 1-1 dual match record this season with a 38-3 win at Shippensburg and a 33-9 loss against Franklin and Marshall.
• Brian Schneider of Elizabethtown was listed in the Honorable Mention category of the November 2nd d3wrestle.com rankings at 165-pounds and he has started this season with a 9-3 record.
• Darian Gonzalez is 5-0 on the season and was the 149-pound champion at the Messiah Invitational on November 6th.
