Wilkes Men's Swimming Fourth after Night One of Diamond City Invitational
WILKES-BARRE, PA – The Wilkes University men's swimming team is in fourth place out of 10 teams after night one of the Diamond City Invitational hosted by King's College at the Wyoming Catholic Youth Center. Friday night's session consisted of the 200 Medley Relay and the 1650 Freestyle.

Shane Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta),
Jared Weyandt (Reading, PA/Exeter Township Senior),
Stephen Verosko (Gainesville, VA/Patriot), and
Keith Nissen (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) placed seventh of 15 teams in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:45.90. The finish earned Wilkes 46 points. The team of
Christian Mavus (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke),
Daniel Micozzi (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst),
Liam White (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas), and
Mason Thrush (Carlisle, PA/Big Spring) earned Wilkes another 24 points in the event as they finished in 1:55.26.
White placed sixth of eight swimmers in the 1650 Freestyle with a time of 19:41.46 to earn Wilkes 24 more points.
Day two of the three day meet will continue tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
