SCRANTON, PA. – The Wilkes University Colonels finished the Cross County Challenge Sunday afternoon, meeting the host Scranton Royals, ranked no. 12 in the d3hoops.com preseason poll.
 
The Royals (4-1) leaped out to a 12-2 lead off of four early three pointers against the Colonels (1-4) and never looked back on route to an 81-42 victory.  No Colonels hit the double digits in points, while the Royals had four players in the double digits.  Abby Anderson lead all scorers with 16 points, while Bridget Monaghan had 13 points and three steals. 
 
The Navy and Gold look to snap their four-game losing skid as they return to the Marts Center to face PSU-Lehigh Valley.  Tipoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. this upcoming Tuesday as the two squads meet for the first time in the live stats era.
