Wilkes Men's Swimming Cougar Splash Session 1 Results
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University men's swimming team completed Session 1 of the Cougar Splash Invitational on Friday evening hosted by Misericordia University.

The Colonels scored 59 team points to rank fourth of the six teams competing.
The team of
Trey Harloff (Apex, NC/Apex Friendship),
Jared Weyandt (Reading, PA/Exeter Township Senior),
Keith Nissen (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia), and
Daniel Micozzi (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst) placed fifth of eight teams in the 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:34.57 to earn 20 points. The team of
Shane Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta),
Stephen Verosko (Gainesville, VA/Patriot),
Mason Thrush (Carlisle, PA/Big Spring), and
Christian Mavus (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke) was seventh to earn 14 points with a time of 1:38.52.
Harloff placed fifth of 16 swimmers in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 5:18.66 as he scored 10 points for Wilkes. In the same race Weyandt, Miller, and Verosko placed tenth through 12th to combine for six more points.
Liam White (Cortlandt Manor, NY/Walter Panas) placed seventh of 10 participants in the 200 IM with a time of 2:18.92 to bring the Colonels seven points.
Mavus garnered two points with an 11th-place result in a field of 21 as he finished the 50 Freestyle in 23.89.
Wilkes will return to the pool tomorrow for the final two sessions of the Cougar Splash Invitational with Session 2 slated for 9:00 a.m. and Session 3 set for a 5:30 p.m. start.
