WILKES-BARRE – The Wilkes University women's golf team finished in third place at the King's College tri-match Saturday afternoon at the Wyoming Valley Country Club.
 
Wilkes shot a team score of 468. King's took home first place shooting a 440 while Misericordia University finished second at 456.
 
Sarah Sorber (Hunlock Creek, PA/Northwest Area) led all Wilkes scorers finishing third overall carding a 97 on the Par 73 course.
 
Cassidy Taylor (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) shot a 119 while Emily Loftus (Shippensburg, PA/Shippensburg) (125) and Andrea Delvecchio (Orange, CT/Amity) (127) rounded out the Colonels competitors at the match.
 
Paula Moon of King's earned medalist honors shooting a round-low 83.
 
The three teams are back in action tomorrow (Sunday) with another tri-match, this time at Irem Country Club in Lehman, Pa.
