Wilkes Women's Golf Finishes Third at Misericordia Tr-Match
DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University women's golf team finished in third place in a tri-match hosted by Misericordia University Wednesday afternoon at the Irem Golf Club. King's College was the other participant at the event.
Host Misericordia took home first place shooting a combined 441 while King's followed one stroke behind in second place at 442. Wilkes shot a team score of 458.
Lauren Golden (Moosic, PA/Scranton Prep) led all Colonel scorers carding a 90.
Gwen MacConnell (Great Bend, PA/Blue Ridge) followed with a 118 while
Marissa Korea (Duryea, PA/Pittston Area) (124) and
Cassidy Taylor (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) (126) rounded out the finishers for Wilkes.
Wilkes returns to the course Saturday when the Colonels host Misericordia and King's College in a tri-match at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville.
