Wilkes Men's Golfers Edged by King's 344-359
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team finished its 2021 spring regular season narrowly edged by cross-town rival King's College 344-359 on Tuesday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.
Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.), reigning MAC Freedom Men's Golfer of the Week, continued his fine play carding a (+5) 77 on way to the top finish for either team in the match.
Michael Sherrick (Shickshinny, PA/Northwest Area) followed shooting an 85 while
Zack Nesheiwat (Hackettstown, NJ/Hackettstown) finished with a 95 and
Michael Gurska (Revere, MA/The Rivers School) a 102.
Tyler Barrow (Massapequa, NY/Saint Anthony's) and
Jay Gallagher (Reading, MA/Kents Hill School) each shot a 107 to round out the Colonel participants in the match.
Matthew Havrilla topped King's posting an 82 while Tyler Faux finished with an 83 for the Monarchs.
Wilkes will next host the 2021 MAC Freedom Men's Golf Championships at Huntsville on Saturday and Sunday with play beginning at 12:00 p.m. both days.
