LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team hosted its first match of the 2021 fall season falling to the University of Scranton 304-333 Saturday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.
 
Wilkes slips to 1-1 overall on the season in dual match play.
 
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) led the Colonels on the day carding a team-low 78 (+6). Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) followed shooting an 84 while Michael Sherrick (Shickshinny, PA/Northwest Area) finished with an 85. Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Jefferson) concluded the Wilkes scoring with an 86.
 
Nicholas Campanelli led all players on the day shooting a one over par 73. Two other Royals joined him in the 70s as Stephen Butler (74) and Matthew Fleming (77) helped push Scranton past Wilkes in the team scoring.
 
Wilkes is back on the course Thursday, September 16^th when the Colonels host MAC Freedom foe FDU-Florham at 1:00 p.m. at Huntsville.
