Wilkes Men's Golf Falls Short against King's 351-355
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team fell just four strokes short of cross-town rival King's College Thursday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club dropping a 351-355 decision.
Wilkes moved to 2-3 overall in the fall season in dual match play.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Jefferson) took home first place overall carding a round-low 79 (+7) on the day.
Michael Sherrick (Shickshinny, PA/Northwest Area) followed in second place with an 82 while
Michael Gurska (Revere, MA/The Rivers School) shot a 93 for seventh place.
Jay Gallagher (Reading, MA/Kents Hill School) (101) and
Tyler Govan (Mountain Top, PA/Crestwood) (106) rounded out the Colonel finishers.
Tyler Faux led King's, who garnered the third through sixth spots respectively, with an 83.
Wilkes is back on the course Monday with a matchup against Misericordia University at Irem Country Club starting at 1:00 p.m.
