Wilkes Women's Cross Country 13th at Dickinson Long-Short Invitational
NEWVILLE, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team placed 13th of 18 teams in the 6k race at the 2021 Dickinson Long-Short Invitational at Big Spring High School hosted by Dickinson College. The Colonels also placed 13th of 18 teams in the 4k race.

Wilkes scored 149 team points among its top three finishers in the 6k for the 13th place result. There were 125 total runners in the long course event.
Junior
Sara Ross (Nazareth, PA/Nazareth) topped the Colonels with a time of 26:13.97 which was good for 45th overall. First year
Alyse Fay (Verona, PA/Oakland Catholic) was 62nd with a time of 27:02.58. Fellow first year
Regan Metz (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) rounded out the Colonels to score in 80th with a time of 28:13.61. First year
Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) was 85th, finishing in 28:26.93.
Dickinson won the team title with 13 points while Dickinson's Elaina Clancy was the top finisher overall with a time of 22:38.22.
In the 4k short run, it was junior
Sydney Rochette (Colchester, CT/Academy of Aerospace and Engineering) that led Wilkes with a time of 17:59.34. She placed 74th of 153 runners. First year
Abby Lewis (Troy, PA/Troy) was 84th with a time of 18:17.66 and first year
Amy Agreda (Shelton, CT/Shelton) rounded the scorers with a finish of 18:42.55 in 97th as the trio totaled 161 points for 13th place.

The Colonels will return to the course on Saturday, October 9 at the DeSales Invitational in Center Valley, Pa.
