Wilkes Women's Golf Finishes Third in Home Tri-Match
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University women's golf team finished in third place at a home tri-match with King's College and the University of Scranton on Saturday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.
Wilkes finished with a team score of 417. Scranton took home first place with a score of 363 while King's settled for second with a score of 367.
Sarah Sorber (Hunlock Creek, PA/Northwest Area) led the Colonels with an 84 on the day.
Cassidy Taylor (Forty Fort, PA/Wyoming Valley West) followed shooting a 97 while
Marissa Korea (Duryea, PA/Pittston Area) (105) and
Cally Erickson (Carbondale, CO/Roaring Fork) (131) rounded out the scorers for Wilkes on the day.
King's Paula Moon took home medalist honors carding a round-low 73 (+1).
Wilkes returns to the course next Sunday when it takes on King's at the Wyoming Valley Country Club starting at 1:00 p.m.
