Wilkes Men's Golf Falls Short Against Marywood 346-351
LEHMAN, PA – The Wilkes University men's golf team fell by just five strokes in a close match against Marywood University 346-351 Tuesday afternoon at the Huntsville Golf Club.
The Colonels moved to 2-2 overall on the fall season in dual matches.
Max Cocchi (Ludlow, MA/Tilton School) and
Andrew Finke (West Milford, NJ/West Milford Twp.) led the way each shooting an 82 on the Par 72 course, good for a second place tie.
Cole Jungwirth (Bloomington, MN/Jefferson) followed with an 88 while
Jay Gallagher (Reading, MA/Kents Hill School) carded a 99 and
Michael Gurska (Revere, MA/The Rivers School) a 108.
Marywood's Francesco Pazzaglia topped all scorers at the match carding a 77 (+5) on the day for first place honors.
Wilkes is back on its home course Thursday when the Colonels host cross-town rival King's College at 2:00 p.m.
