The Navy and Gold kept the Pacers at arm's length throughout the first two sets. The Pacers kept pace but could never close the gap in the 25-23 and 26-24 sets. The Colonels cruised to a 19-10 lead in the third set and staved off a Pacer run to clinch the sweep 25-20.

The Colonels roared back with a 5-0 run fueled by Cassel serving. A 9-2 Mount Saint Vincent run was followed by a 6-0 Navy and Gold run to put the Colonels close at 17-16, but a 6-1 Dolphin run put the 25-19 set out of reach for the Colonels.

The teams traded points back and forth before a 6-2 Mount Saint Vincent run put the set at 15-11. The Colonels replied with a 5-2 run to inch within a point, but never overcame the Dolphins as they put together a late 4-1 run to put away the set and match in the Dolphins favor.
