Wilkes Men's Swimming Drops Misericordia Duel
DALLAS, PA. – The Wilkes University men's swimming team traveled to face Misericordia Saturday afternoon in a Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) battle.
The Colonels (3-5) dropped the duel 145-42 to the Cougars (5-1) and didn't win a single race over Misericordia.

The Navy and Gold placed second in the 200 Medley Relay, with
Stephen Verosko (Gainesville, VA/Patriot),
Jared Weyandt (Reading, PA/Exeter Township Senior),
Trey Harloff (Apex, NC/Apex Friendship), and
Keith Nissen (Bloomsburg, PA/Central Columbia) taking silver with a 1:50.54 time to grab four points. Harloff would team up with
Christian Mavus (Nanticoke, PA/Nanticoke),
Daniel Micozzi (Lindenhurst, NY/Lindenhurst), and
Shane Miller (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) in the 200 Freestyle Relay to add on four more points with a 1:39.73 time.
Weyandt would go on to finish second in the 50 Freestyle with a 24.28 to earn four points, and grab another four with a 52.89 finish in the 100 Freestyle. Harloff would add another four to the Colonel tally with a 2:14.11 time in the 200 IM. Verosoko added three points with a 2:39.62 in the 200 Breaststroke.
The Colonels will welcome Lycoming to the CYC next Saturday for Senior Day festivities. First swim is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. as the two squads continue a series that the Warriors lead 4-2 in the live stats era.
