DALLAS, PA – The Wilkes University women's swimming team was defeated 164-12 by host Misericordia University in a meeting of Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) teams Saturday afternoon.

Results

Maddy Kinard (Dover, PA/Dover Area) took home two second place finishes for the Colonels on the day and earned eight team points. She placed second in the 50 Freestyle with a time of 27.69 in a race that featured six swimmers. Kinard also was second of five swimmers in the 200 Backstroke as she finished with a time of 2:30.57.

Emilie Detweiler (Muncy, PA/Hughesville) scored the Colonels one point in the 50 Freestyle and another point in the 100 Freestyle. Kara Foster (Brookville, PA/Brookville Jr. Sr.) earned Wilkes two points in the 100 Freestyle.

The Colonels return to the pool for Senior Day next Saturday when they host Lycoming College at the Wyoming Valley CYC at 1:00 p.m. Seniors Abby Keating (Spring Grove, PA/Spring Grove Area) and Detweiler will be recognized.
