Wilkes Women's Cross Country Places Fifth at LVC Last Chance Run Fast
LEBANON, PA – The Wilkes University women's cross country team placed fifth of seven teams at the LVC Last Chance Run Fast on Friday evening at Union Canal Tunnel Park.
Overall and Team Results
The Colonels placed fifth with 158 team points from its five scoring runners in the 6k race that featured 80 runners.
First year runner
Emily Satnowski (Piscataway, NJ/Piscataway) paced the Colonels with a 35th place finish overall and a time of 27:08.5.
Courtney Negra (Colonia, NJ/Colonia) was the next across the finish line for Wilkes as the sophomore finished with a time of 27:34.8 that was good for 39th overall. Junior
Abby Kuppinger (Syracuse, NY/West Genesee) recorded a 43rd place finish with a time of 27:53.6. Sophomore
Regan Metz (Berwick, PA/Berwick) was 48th with a time of 28:18.4. Junior
Mia Hensil (East Berlin, PA/Bermudian Springs) rounded out the Colonels to score for the team, placing 57th overall with a time of 29:30.3. First year
Ashley Tomassacci (Jackson, PA/Blue Ridge) rounded out the Colonels in 59th with a time of 29:41.3.
Division II Kutztown University took first place with a score of 27 points. West Chester University's Isabella Marchini placed first overall with a finishing time of 22.20.9.
The Colonels will compete at the 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships next weekend again at Union Canal Tunnel Park. Wilkes will get its race started at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29.
