WILKES-BARRE – Maddy Kinard (Dover, PA/Dover Area) won the 50 Freestyle on Saturday afternoon as the Wilkes University women's swimming team hosted Stevenson University and Marywood University at the Wyoming Valley Catholic Youth Center.

Kinard finished the 50 Free in 28.34 to beat the second place swimmer by over one second in a field of seven.

She also swam the 200 Backstroke and placed third of six swimmers with a time of 2:27.79.

Stevenson defeated Wilkes 155-13 while Marywood beat Wilkes 105-13. Stevenson beat Marywood 123-70.

Wilkes and Kinard are back in action next Saturday when they face Lebanon Valley College and Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa. at 3:00 p.m.
